What is it?
A storyboard is simply a visual interpretation of a script.
When is it used?
This means it can be used for a screenplay, for live-action video shooting, for animation – in all these, to visually explain or plan each scene or shot and help the producer, director, actors or animators understand their roles better.
How is it done?
Storyboards can be done digitally, using specialized software or traditionally on paper.

It involves me, the artist, understanding the script, idea or concept then illustrating fitting drawings to encompass the thought.
What does it look like?
It looks like a comic book. It has a title and panels with dialogue and sound effects annotations...
It can be cleaned up art masterpieces, roughed out sketches or thumbnails and usually includes the location {interior or exterior}, duration of the shot, camera angle, and dialogue per frame, the music and or sound effects and action notes. However, different production houses have their requirements that determine what details are needed in the storyboard.
